Together, the Take Stock in Children program and the community of Sarasota County can help to break the poverty cycle and provide Scholarships, Mentors & Hope to deserving local families.

Student Sponsors:

  • Receive student's photograph and biography

  • Annual updates on the child's progress and handwritten notes from the student

  • Have the opportunity to meet the child at a TSIC event

  • Have the option to become the child's mentor

  • Know that 100% of the contribution will go directly to sponsor a child in the program and that the gift is tax-deductible

  • Directly impact the life of a local child


TSIC Scholars Receive :

  • The opportunity to earn four years of college tuition or post-secondary technical training

  • A mentor to provide motivation and support; a Student Advocate/Case Manager to visit monthly who monitors and encourages the student

  • An increased sense of self-worth and hope for the future

  • The chance to achieve their dreams
